Agreed - maybe she just needs some company, this may settle her.

Heather did really well in the last round - I still think with the constant presence of Anne during the matches that she will come good when needed.

From what I've seen here, she looks like a very happy camper.

I went to check up on her coaching situation and see she appointed a new guy in Sept 2016. John-Laffnie de Jager.

He doesn't seem to be doing her any good. Her ranking is dropping and dropping. As I write this she is outside the top 100 and just lost to Alize Lim, over 100 ranking places below her.

I do have a little bit of inside information about Hev, but it would be inappropriate to discuss it here, let's just hope she can rediscover her best form, and show the fight on display at the FedCup, and get back to where she should be.

Now that's just teasing! But seriously, very nice of you to keep a private convo, private.

She stopped working with him a few weeks into this year, I think.

Based on a tweet I saw from Phil today, she might be working with Beechy, which given that Beechy works for JTC would make sense.

JTC have a few different coaches, so it can appear on an adhoc basis at times, in other words, one of the coaches could be allocated the role one trip, then another the next trip. There's also Lucie Ahl, Morgan Phillips, Mark Taylor, David Felgate ( Katie Swan's coach ) Ryan Jones etc., http://www.juniortenniscoaching.com/coaches

Re: Heather's coach - here is an extract about today's match from The Times.

One member of that staff in particular will be feeling the difference if Watson advances any further. Making a second week of a slam would be huge for me, she said. If I do, my coach Morgan [Phillips], said he would shave his head. I said no, your girlfriend would kill you. You can shave your legs.

Interesting. Congratulations to Morgan Phillips, as well as to Ms Watson! Is he also still working with James Ward?
