During the week this is on I see there are two ATP 250 events one in Metz and one in St Petersburg. I wonder if either of the Murrays might play this to give it a boost.
Jamie has previously indicated that he will be playing the Glasgow Challenger long before it was announced that it would be named after the Murray family.

I know the guy who formed the company (good club tennis player) from many moons ago. Super quality sportswear, they've sponsored one of the pre-Wimbledon Grass events for a couple of years. I have a few bits of clothing myself from them, as I say, top stuff. Trying to become a "brand" from a standing start must be near on impossible so I've always had a lot of respect for what he's trying to achieve.
Jamie is part of the Court 1 Roof Showcase celebration on BBC1 tomorrow afternoon, alongside Venus Williams, Pat Cash, John McEnroe, Goran Ivanisevic, Martina Navratilova and Lleyton Hewitt.
Andy wont play for ever, he says. Then whats behind him? There isnt much and youll lose more interest in the game if you dont have a star at the top. You need someone competing with Federer, Nadal and Djokovic.
The world hasn't managed to come up with anyone (else) that can compete with those three - and by the time we/ they grow one, those three will be gone. We need people that can compete with e.g. Tsitsipas, Thiem and Zverev, Shapovalov and Auger-Alliassime.
There's a lovely article about Jamie by Matthew Syed in today's Times under the heading "Driven yet decent, Jamie is the perfect sporting role model" (behind a paywall, unless you're a subscriber). The closing paragraph reads as follows:
I have always been wary of the concept of role models, but if I had to advise my son to emulate a sportsperson, it would probably be Jamie. For his decency, his drive and the way that he has made the most of his gifts, he is an inspiration. Above all, he shows us that while not all of us can become the best, each of us can reach the summit of our own potential. And, ultimately, isn't that what life is about?

I will buy the paper today and read it, I like Syed and his writing and thought, bright and decent guy.
Is Jamie playing in Glasgow next week in doubles and/or the Murrays their in a patronage sense, does anyone know?
The Jamie Murray Doubles Series - to be held in July 2020.
"The Jamie Murray Doubles Series is the first of its kind in the World; an innovative, independent professional level Mens Doubles Prize Money Series. The tour is aimed at showcasing Britains national game, whilst giving British & International players genuine earning opportunities on home soil."
This follows on from Barry Fulcher combining with Jamie to offer a wildcard into the Murray Challenger doubles event via his UTR Progress Tour. Looks like a great idea, my only worry would be that it attracts too many foreign doubles pairings, but perhaps our guys can win with home advantage. Is this the first series of money tournaments for doubles only in the UK? To my knowledge the British Tour is only singles and ITF events are singles and doubles. National Premier League is doubles only but is a team event not an individual pairs event.
