Tara Moore will be out for a while with a broken finger and an ankle problem.

Anyone know what the story is with Andy Bettles - not played much recently(nor has JWH and Joe Salisbury)

I'd be very interested to know about JWH - his absence has been really marked. I've been assuming it's an ongoing injury but no actual info at all, just an assumption. (Pleased to read your post on the other thread that he's back at Soto - no idea, really, but his move to the NTC and then Nottingham hardly seemed to have worked out well . . . )

Joe's been playing a fair bit, and he did go out to Korea recently for the World Student Games (or whatever it's called) and that took up a couple of weeks, what with travel and all.

I noted Andy Bettles playing some German league tennis a few weeks ago. And he played the Aegon team tennis championship thingy at the end of July (for Sutton). But conspicuously absent from the ITF events.

Jonny O'Mara doesn't seem around much either.

Add: and Eden Silva is the other one I've been wondering about - again, think there were injury issues but it's been a long time now (although nowhere near as long as Katie Boulter's ????. . . . .)

Eden is still in rehab for injury.  Her Facebook shows lots of recent pictures of her running so presumably all going well.

Tara tweeted that she's just had her first hit since her bad ankle injury, so hopefully it won't be long now till she's fully fit and we see her again.

Just a thought: does anyone have news re Ed? I know he had some niggles in early summer, and he's been very absent these past weeks/months. But I saw that he was out in Austin, training, quite recently, so didn't know if that was just part of his summer plan or following some procedure? Anyway, must be in pretty good shape if he's in training.

From Josh Sapwell:

Josh Sapwell
September 17 at 3:51pm ·

Hey guys, hope your all doing well. I've been back hitting for 3 weeks now, gradually week after week increasing my hitting percentage which I'm delighted to say is now at 100% for an hour and a half everyday. I will hopefully play a couple of tournaments before the year closes out but we're aiming to start a fresh in January and hopefully hit the ground running as there are still some minor tweaks my team and I want to address before I get back competing. I can't explain how frustrating this year has been for me, at times I haven't even felt like a tennis player. There has been moments where I've just wanted to curl up into a tiny little ball and cry my eyes out for hours on end as all I've wanted to do is get back playing matches, pain free. Fingers crossed my arm continues to progress, then I can look forward to January
😃

All the very best, Josh !

We are very pleased to announce that @JoshSapwell is injury free. He is available for hits; incerve.com/people/josh-sapwell/

Do so hope that Josh has a good run, without injury, next year. He's one of our 'unseen' great hopes - could go from zero to hero very quickly.

So sad for James his coach Darren has cancer. That's why he's been playing so badly recently.

This is not new, as he is back now playing, and doing well, but just to wish Nick Nugent all the best, given a really hard time he's been through.

 Good to hear.

Anyway, I do hope Lisa doesn't get too frustrated by the huge long tennis close season

Nice reminder - easy to forget players when they are out a long time. Good luck to them all smile
