She did enter an then withdrew on several occasions early on.

She has not been on the entry lists for a while which suggests the arm injury( assumption as it was heavily strapped) is not recovering too quickly.

Still no sign of an entry this year, the injury must have been much more serious than first thought.

Saw Eleanor as well around that age. Really good player and fantastic attitude. Such a shame with injuries.

Trying to put off some horrid work, I went googling....

Seems that Eleanor is no longer at the Justine Henin Academy??? But is now at Chapel A ??? In Yorkshire ???

Sources:

Clay Crawford picks up another win on the British Tour
05th May 2015

Clay Crawford who trains at Chapel A with Eleanor Dean under the guidance of Will Brannan and Ben Riby; won the British Tour event at Newcastle to add to his recent success at Bolton. All being well Clay will get a wild card into a Pro Series event as he looks to reinstate his world ranking.

Jeremy Bates reminds everyone to sign up to the ballot.
02nd Dec 2014

Jeremy Bates visited the club on Tuesday 2nd December to catch up on the progress of one of the UKs most promising young players, Eleanor Dean. Eleanor has been training at the club for the last three months with Ben Riby, our Performance Coach. Jeremy took a few moments out of his day to remind everyone to opt in to the Wimbledon Ballotsee below.

Unless this is all out of date/misleading/I've got the wrong end of the stick, sounds like she's back in the UK, and training, just not ready for competition yet??

Really hard luck for Eleanor. Great attitude, down to earth, affable and the most promising of the 96 bunch before the injury.

She was at the Kim Clijsters academy, not Henin's. Either way, shame because she was a real talent. I really hope she still able to give the pro career a shot.

And it's true - Eleanor Dean is back, and playing, and winning.

In fact, she's just won two matches at the British Tour event in London - and two bagels ! Not lost a single game

SO pleased to see you back, Ellie.

Such an obvious talent. Its a shame we have never really received too much information about her. Watching her do well, and then diasappear, has always been so frustrating.

Fantastic news. When I opened the thread, I was expecting to see news of a retirement. Good luck. It would be nice to see Yorkshire interest in both Men's and Ladies singles.
