So Mimi wins again against Tanasie, 7-5 6-3. Not sure how this works now with UTR tournaments? Good coverage on Amazon Prime though! She is getting plenty of clay court practice!

Mimi wins again 1 and 1. So continues to get plenty of practice on clay in Bucharest. Will she get the prize money? Or is she too young?

Has Karola Bejenaru switched? Listed as GBR against Mimi today.

I saw that dodrade, but I cant find anything anywhere to say she has switched.

Apparently she lived in Northern Ireland, where she has lived since 2009. https://sportsprosconnect.com/profiles/karolabejenaru/

She would be Irish if she switched nationality. Her UTR profile uses her residence as her nationality.

The link above has a section at the bottom saying she has gone back to train in Romania again now

CURRENT AND PREVIOUS COACH, CLUB & ACADEMIES

Starting tennis Ive been training with Mihai Malaia a Romanian coach. Moving to Northern Ireland Ive started playing in the Ulster squads after going to Windsor tennis club where Ive met my coach Przemek Stek achieving the junior raking beside him and starting of my pro circuit.

After 5 years of working with him I went to the national centre DCU in Ireland. Ive been working there with Garry Cahill and Lazo while having Oktay as the fitness coach.

After 2 years in DCU I left to train in Romania and currently training there now.

Tennis Abstract's ELO ratings (based on performances over last 12 months) but using a similar method of weighting for opponents level, has Emma at 22nd.

So similar to what the UTR rankings are saying relative to her actual WTA level

https://tennisabstract.com/reports/wta_elo_ratings.html

for the ytd itself, ELO has Emma at 21st

Lui Maxted celebrated TCU's NCAA National Championship victory by going to Newport Beach to play in the UTR PTT $25k. Ewen Lumsden is also there.
Lui defeated Ewen 6-2 6-4 yesterday.

Kristina Paskauskas is playing the UTR 25k in Long Beach, CA. She has got through the group stage unbeaten and plays USC's #2 Emma Charney in what I presume is the semi-final. Emma finished the college season ranked 32 in the ITA rankings.

I also saw Ola Pitak's name on one of the UTR scoreboards this week

Kristina lost 4 & 2. I only saw the 2nd set, but that set was closer than the score suggests. It got away from her after she was broken in a long multiple deuce game when the ball that landed 2 foot inside the baseline was called out. That was one of a few atrocious line calls to both players.

Her next event is an ITA summer series tournament back at her university in Raleigh, NC in a weeks time.
