According to his college, Oli Tarvet won the Newport Beach $25k PTT yesterday.

Thank you !

I'd seen the match on Bet365 and made a mental note to check the result - and promptly forgot!

Well done, Oli biggrin

I have never really paid much attention to the UTR scene before; it seems there is an alternative tour to the ITF tour and it is quite burgeoning

cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0690/8071/1488/files/Final-PTT-2025-Calendar-web-download.pdf

There are half a dozen or so events lined up in the UK in 2025 - Cardiff being the first with two back to back events in February timeframe.

I have lots of questions!

1) are the Uk events what have been the Progress Tour? Are the interlinked?

2) Is there some sort of structure to these in terms of a year round ranking of some sort?

3) Do the ITF and other bodies recognise this? With so many events, it seems like a real deal

4) What is the format of the events - are they all the same each week or do they vary in structure - eg 32 draw, 16 draw, round robin groups tableaux?

I am sure there are more but this has gripped me for the first time!

I noticed on the UTR pro rankings, Jack Draper is ranked 9, Jake is around the 60s, Katie is 21 and Emma in the 30s.

Do folks who know think that these are a better ranking indicator than the usual atp or WTA ones?

The Cardiff UTR is playing this week

And there's livestream on Bet365 (and presumably other places)

I find it near impossible to follow the actual events but like to dip into a match, here and there, especially for players you like to follow a bit (am watching 10 mins of Leticia Romanova's match at the moment)

Is it just womens or is there a mens event as well?

She may show as being from Turkey, but has played a lot of junior events in the UK over the last two years, ranging from J4 to J60, and reached SF and F in J30's.

I'm sure one of our experts will know more about her background
