Emily Appleton

Im on a train right now from Leeds to London. A couple of folks got on at Grantham, clearly tennis players. The girl is pretty, blonde and English and talking about other players - I think its Emily Appleton , almost certain it is but not sure; the guy is an Aussie and asking lots of questions , not sure if it is a boyfriend or just a pal. But obviously still a tennis player although not sure who it is.

Trying to listen in!

Katie was watching Alex Bolt at Surbiton when I was there. And she has pics of the two of them together in Australia.

Alex has to make a call on which alt he is going to sign in on (Queens qualies or Ilkley) by 6 pm tomorrow, he got an email pop through on train. Seemed to be leaning towards Queens and maybe trying for onsite doubles as well as practice there if he didnt get in.

Katie - was just avidly watching Fran and saying how much she fights. They talked about some other player that "thinks she is better than she is" and gets down on herself because of it, but I didnt hear who that was ( a british girl). That was it, mainly they were watching the Fran match and supporting her versus Krueger.

Is Alex Bolt chums with AdM as well - I wonder if the Aussie / Brit thing makes them all chums ?

Both seemed really nice folks though , very polite and moved their stuff for a Chinese family in the next set of seats, very smiley and helpful , asked if the Chinese family needed more space etc

What does it matter that they were Chinese?  Surely "family" would have done Jon biggrin
