I nearly resurrected this thread last night but thought it would take too long to type out all the involvement. wink

Well, we started out with Brydan and George Loffhagen this morning on the men's side.

And Sam, JoKo and Katy Dunne on the women's.

George has bitten the dust - although in a three setter against the top seed, which is no bad showing.

Brydan is going strong.

And Sam and Katy both clocked up good wins.

So over to Jo to make it a 'Good Friday'.

Which she duly did, beating Potapova by 6-7(6) 6-3 7-7(7).  smile

Sadly not had a chance to visit this forum recently. A new day job means I have far less time for tennis related activities.

In tribute to Born2WinTennis' idea of 'Friday's last players standing', this week we have:

Men: Cameron Norrie at the ATP 500 in St. Petersburg

Women: Jodie Burrage and Harriet Dart at the 25k in France

In the doubles, we've got still standing:

Beth and Harriet in France 25k

Emily Arb and Freya in Egypt 15k

Dominic Inglot+ at ATP 250 in Cologne

Not such a bad week

Thanks CD, I have to say I found this useful,  when working hard it is difficult to sometimes keep up and threads move quickly and i often lose track. Doing this each week helps me for sure, particularly when thinking re player of month nominations!

Born2wintennis I believe started this just for mens tennis, but having it in one place for both is better. Maybe it should sit in the general section instead if someone wanted to move it there, just a thought?

It is a level Harriet has very rarely played over the last two or three years, having rather left them behind.

Of course she is far from alone in stepping down these last two weeks, with other even higher ranked players doing so. So it is a good effort in these rather unusual ( or 'new normal'? ) 25Ks.

Across these draws, a lot of seeds have fallen, more unseeded than seeded left. Let's hope one or two can take advantage. A title from somewhere would be nice!
