Who has that Friday feeling?

Great to see this thread being resurrected. C'mon Dan!

Wasn't a great start for our Friday Brigade, with Harriet retiring, (and consequently Harriet and Beth too), and Anton and Oscar losing.

Katie's win was nice and I know she's just dipping her toe in the water again but she really is playing so down that it's hard to get too excited about it.

However, an excellent win from Dan, and an equally clutch one from Lloyd and partner in the dubs cheered things up considerably.

So, with Friday looming, (and helped by bad weather delays in some places) we currently have still in action (by my reckoning):

Singles

Liam Broady - Challenger - Parma
Mandy C - 15k Spain
Emily App - 15k Spain
Arthur Féry - 15k Portugal
Ryan Peniston - 15k Greece
Charles Broom - 15k USA

Doubles:

Lloyd Glasspool+ - Challenger Eckental
Emily App and Ali Collins - Spain
Jonnie Binding+ - Portugal
Max Andrews+ - Portugal
Ryan P+ - Greece

Charles Broom+ - USA

A rather 'mixed bag' still in action this week - but well done to all of them !

Pride of place (I guess ) goes to Joe Salisbury - ATP Finals, doubles

Emily Appleton is going strong in the 15k in Estonia - still in both the singles and the doubles

The 'coup de coeur' this week, though, is Jasmine Conway, age 15, still in the running in the 15k in Egypt.

Hold-ups in Greece means we also have Ryan Penniston and Luke Johnson with a postponed doubles match to play, as well as Jan C with his match held-over, near the end of the second set.

CD, I would have forgotten the guys playing doubles in crete as they are  not on today's schedule despite the fact their matches are incomplete.

Looks like doubles day today, in roughly this order of play

Emily A (final)
Aidan Mc. (Final)
Ryan P and Luke J (qf)
Jan C (qf)
Joe S (semi and playing for year end top pair).

Hope to see singles success, somewhere, before season is out.

And of course we have Hep Oluwadare in singles final at juniors in Haifa and Hannah Read and Ella Taylor are are in a junior Doubles final in Spain.

One title this weekend somewhere would be nice

Ok, I'll go for Hannah and Ella as the top chance of a title.

Then Aidan+

Then Hep

Then Joe+ (no idea about top level doubles)

Then Emily App+ (which is cheating because she's already losing)

And the lads in Greece are so far off finishing, I'll count them out
