Having made the semis last year (as 2-years too young), Hannah went on to make the final of Les Petits As this year but lost to Stusek in a reasonably one-sided match. 3-6 3-6
However, she is still one year younger than nearly all the other players and will be eligible next year too.
She had a great competition up to the final, comfortably beating some very competent players. And simply got rather out-played and out-foxed by a different style of game in the final.
And, Andy Murray lost when he made the final of Les Petits As, too - so no harm done
Pretty amazing watching Stusek play the first round of a W60 yesterday. She lost 4-6 in the third (and was slightly lucky with her draw) but all the same ----
I think we'll be seeing Hannah, too, getting a couple of high profile wildcards for adult events next year
Not to mention that Stusek had blitzed her way through three rounds of qualifying with the loss of just five games
I'm confident that she's not looking at this forum (she's got better things to do !) so no harm done really so, yes, Jon, I'm sure her team are aiming for the very top - everything is on track for that - subject to, as Indy says, the vaguaries of life.....
Well , Id lay some money on it as a non betting man, if I had any money to lay ! (And I dont bet at all as I know Id never stop at one and disaster would be the inevitable life conclusion!).
Absolutely re speculation being part of our stock in trade. It helps kerp the forum interesting beyond scores and "play well". But personally not rankingswise for me with our young juniors.
Take yourself to a bookie Jon. I reckon you'ed get very good odds or at least you should.

Well, if it's not for the the forum to speculate too much, let's leave it to Hannah, from last year:
"In five years Id really like to play Junior Wimbledon or maybe even Wimbledon if I could. At 20 Id really love to be a Grand Slam winner.
Shocker from a very good young player, eh. There will be a heck of a lot of players that said they'ed love to be a Slam champion.
Whatever, it's more a personal thing that I'd just like to watch them develop ( and yes, win along the way ) than any big campaign against other folk more specifically speculating.
Great to have followed such as Emma and Marni for many years with the very different paths of the absolute shock wirh Emma and the pleasant satisfaction of Marni now making more and more of a mark.
If Hannah keeps doing really well though, in a few years I'll be right in there

Yes, absolutely, what kid hasn't said I want to be a Grand Slam winner?
But hardly any of them have the honour of having a personal thread on the forum to highlight it - which is a huge achievement in itself
I think Jon's comment was just a throwaway one - as you say, it makes no difference who thinks what at 13. Well, apart from what the LTA think which, as above, does actually matter
But it's all gentle interest......

It was just a throwaway, I know nothing of Hannah (or Hep, or Talia, or Anyone else in the juniors ) other than what I read here and, being frank, most of it is from CDs comments! But what I read above inspired me to a semi serious comment, more to see what others more knowledgeable than me would say!
