I'm probably one of the few pleased about that. She could've easily ended up in playing Heather or Harriet in qualifying and I'm sure no one would want that.

Agree CD. You never know, Emmas due a good draw, she has had some poor ones over the past few years.

For me definitely better Emma being in the main draw.

She has indicated this week that she could certainly win a main draw round or two. All being well, she will steadily build match play, stamina and form over the coming months but really didn't need a qualifying diversion and extra matches / potential for a slip up in the AO.

There have been a few late withdrawals from Loughborough including Ryan Storrie and Oscar Weightman.

Kyle Edmund looks certain to get in directly and Jake will get an SE if he wins tomorrow.
Wildcards likely to go to Henry Searle, Ali Gray, Jake Fearnley and Harry W.
