 My plan, which may vary, is for PoM votes to put them up on the Monday morning after the nominations close on a Sunday, and then run them through to the Tuesday evening. So a 36 hour voting slot

However, where the nominations list is large enough to require a semifinal vote (like January) I will put the semis up on the Sunday evening for 24 hours and then run the final thereafter; this month I have gone for 2 days for the final as I felt the vote could be very tight, but normally I will put the final up on the Tuesday morning and run it for 36 hours until the Wednesday evening, when there are groups. 

I reserve the right to vary these plans though!!

For Player of the Season - the 36 hour per round process worked well before Xmas, so I will do that again, although it will, of course, be in early January for the PoS 2024 vote.

As an aside, although I really enjoy player of the month and season as a process, and weve tinkered with the format to make it work with less effort, I have generally found it time consuming. Less so now. And now Im using ChatGPT to sort the groups (although that was a little frustrating as it kept insisting Anna Brogan is a junior still (it uses old data from pre 2023 I think ?) and struggled with the two doubles pairs in the groups).

Nonetheless i enjoy doing it; but Ive decided to maybe follow Andy Murrays lead and think about this as my last season. So Im aiming at doing this whole year through to the end of 2024 December Player of the Month and then see myself out by doing 2024 Player of the Season in early January 2025.

By then it will be 5 years, we could have a new British Government and a new US President and it feels like a good time to hand it over. So nearer the time, maybe around October or November, Ill ask to see if anyone is interested in taking it over and moving it forwards. A fresh hand may choose to change one or two things and that may be a good thing!

But for now, another 11 months of PoMs to go (lets beat 50 votes one month!) and a Player of the Season to anoint (lets beat 60 in that!).
