In the men's the top seed withdrew so Matt was placed in the 2nd seed position in the draw.
In the women's the top 2 seeds withdrew so Ciara was placed in the 1 seed position in the draw.

Can anyone shed any light on why Kianah Motosono has received a WC in Cumberland next week? She is from Florida, had 3 years playing college tennis at Oklahoma and 2 years at Florida State with Vic Allen. And I see she's playing doubles with Vic in Sutton the week after.

Well, she was 2nd seed but lost in her first match, to Elizabeth Evans:

The Sutton Premier event starts today and has enhanced prize money. A quick look at the Player List shows a number of ATP and WTA ranked players.

The main draws are expected to be published after 6pm today.

 Yes. And of that £2k, it's £1.5 that comes from the LTA and £500 that's the top-up amount from sponsors
