I know this sounds like damned with faint praise but, tbh, winning a J60 at age 17 is not, objectively, a major event. But everyone plays at their level, tying their absolute best to maximise their path, and so I'll nominate Conor Brady
Nomination list:
1. Johannus Monday - for becoming #1 in the singles NCAA Div 1 college rankings. The two-time SEC Player of the Year boasts an impressive 22-2 record atop the Vols' lineup and is 17-1 against ranked opponents this season.
2. Felix Mischker - for winning his first doubles title - an M15 in Antalya, Turkey - with Michael Agwi (IRL), taking out the 1st, 2nd and 4th seeded pairs en route.
3. Sam Murray Sharan - for winning the W100 doubles title at Wiesbaden in Germany. Her 30th doubles title and the biggest one of her career.
4. Charlie Broom - for taking the M25 title in Nottingham, his First title of the season and only his second at M25 level, having won 3 previous titles at M15 and one at M25; backed up his RU spot last week at the same venue.
5. Luke Johnson - for taking his biggest career title at the ATP Challenger 175 in Aix en Provence with Skander Mansouri - adding to a very successful season and will achieve another CH ranking.
6.GB Mens Wheelchair World Cup Team - retained their World champions title, this time on clay, beating France and Spain in the final two rounds - well done Alfie Hewett, Gordon Reid, Ben Bartram and Dahnon Ward.
7. Conor Brady (age 17) - winning the singles AND doubles at the J60 in Latvia
oh, nice one, CD - I hadnt followed the juniors this week; I think Conor was nominated in March or April as well , is that right?
It was April and it was "for winning the singles title AND the doubles title at the J100 in Latvia (his first ever singles title, I believe, and smashing his previous best wins by a country margin)".
I can see value in nominating someone who may have taken until they were 17 to figure out how to win at this sort of level but is then able to consistently deliver on that for a while. (Plus -- maybe clutching at straws! -- it's possible his game doesn't work well at juniors but may transition better to seniors than some players who are junior stars....)

Seems Conor likes these events in Latvia then, good for him.

Just 11 days left in May now. Nominations to close Sunday 26th May.
A reminder for folks that in the past we have treated qualifying for Slams as effectively a separate event (unlike most normal tour events where qualies blend into the main draw event, at slams there is a gap of a few days between qualifying and the main draw and the play and draw enough to make them effectively separate). As such, the qualifying for RG WILL count in the May nominations process as per examples such as Wimbledon qualifying last year - so if anyone does well in RG qualies next week, feel free to nominate them before next Sunday and not wait for the June nominations process (by which time a long time will have passed!).
Good stuff. Would be great to see one or two players then getting nominations for both May and June.
Haha. Obviously if they get nominated for qualies in May they cant get nominated for qualies again June, just the main draw - but yes, it would be amazing if they went on through and had a great run in the main draw after qualifying.
Just Sonay left in tour singles, but a couple of doubles titles coming in, maybe more to come? College players in action this weekend, 4 men and 2 women left in the weekend action; some wheelchair action and Ive no idea re juniors? Will anyone join our small list with just one week in the month left after this weekend?
Info shamelessly stolen from TA and others in the tournament thread.

8. Madeleine Brooks - for winning her first doubles title, at the W75 in Kurume, with Sarah-Beth Grey. (It's Beth's 23rd title!) This is following a run of really strong performances by Madeleine in China and Japan and will see her move to a new CH in doubles, probably breaking into the top 200.
