Really fantastic result by our girls!

Is this our first ever win in this competition?

Presumably the first 6 from this competition qualify for the Junior Billie Jean Cup?

First under 16 Summer Cup -  the under 14 girls (Maia Lumsden, Gabi Taylor and Jazzi Plews) won in 2012 and the under 18 girls won in 1975 /1976. The under 16 boys (Kyle Edmund, Luke Bambridge and Evan Hoyt) won in 2011 and the under 14 boys in 1995, but it is a slim list.

There are 6 places for European teams in Turkey, but Turkey get one of those as host nation.  Therefore it is just the top 5 that qualify (4 semi-finalists plus Italy)

Thanks David. That's really not many European teams while understanding the need for regional representation at the Finals.

@JonH, finals in Antalya on 11-17 November.

Surprised not to see Emerson Jones - unless she is too old?

Emerson is still eligible but may well have decided that having reached junior no. 1 and 2 grand slam finals that she wants to concentrate on transition to the pros going forward.
