Surprised not to see Emerson Jones - unless she is too old?

Emerson is still eligible but may well have decided that having reached junior no. 1 and 2 grand slam finals that she wants to concentrate on transition to the pros going forward.

That's understandable, she has had a very good junior year

Czechs missing their top two players too: Samson and Kovackova. Japan have Sonobe, USA have Grant, so some big names.

Also wasn't sure whre to post. Do we know if Hannah, Mika Mimi and other juniors might enter Shrewsbury W100 as entry deadline is on Friday and I can't see them as entered so far. In which case are they ineligible for a WC (if they were granted and wanted one)?

It clashes with the week of the world junior tour finals in China, which one or more of them may be choosing to play. Depending on other entries, all 3 top girls might get into China.

Well, Mimi and Hannah have entered Shrewsbury, Mika hasn't. Might suggest Mika is playing the junior finals and the other 2 aren't.

Might be worth a trip to Shrewsbury.
