Including his men's dubs, Fritz has three matches to play today, plus Paul also has a singles against a home player in Moutet, which is sure to be emotionally draining.

If they do beat the Dutch pair, they'll be pretty tired for their game against Dan and Andy tomorrow...

Wow, three matches in one day is going to drain him and, given there are medals at stake, I am sure he will play them all for his partner and country.

It does provide Andy and Dan on opportunity, let's see what unfolds. Of course, Haase and Rojer are no pushovers at all but if they got through the doubles to play Andy and Dan, I would take that as a winnable match

Good luck Andy and Evo today! Paul plays Alcaraz earlier in the day but really this is a tough old battle and I think the Americans will be favourites, but only just! Hopefully Paul gives Alcaraz a 3 hour plus battle earlier in the day!

Ebden and Peers await the winners of Andy and Dans match.

The other semi is today and is Krajicek and Ram versus Machac and Pavlasek. Machac is also in mixed and having a good event. Krajicek and Ram looked good against Nadal and Alcaraz

Rajeev and Krajicek into the mens doubles final, the Czechs play for bronze. Lets see if Andy and Dan get to join them.

Musetti beats Zverev and into semis. What a run musetti is having since the FO!

Andy and Dan will be on after the next singles qf match, so maybe 2 hours or more away

Dan & Andy save their first MP of the night and get one break back in a long 8th game of the 2nd set.

2-6 *3-5

Ah well, it was good while it lasted.  Yanks just too good.  Thought they lacked a bit of spark - until a long rally in the eighth game of the second set...  Thanks for some truly memorable memories, Andy.
